This is just a small (very small) demo for the first Spectrum model - ZX SPECTRUM 16Kb. We made it because we found that nobody makes any demos for this machine. :)

Way to self-thumb.

YERZMYEY/H-PRG: you should add the "16k" type too then, as we did for the C16 only prods in the C=264 series scene.

For music You need classic AY-interface (we suspect everybody has it, since 1990).

You just found somebody that hasn't :) I was getting all excited too, thinking that there was finally a demo for my speccy. (I actually have 48k and no AY, not ideal for demos.)

To psonice: well, it is a problem for people without AY box. However the *are* demos for Spectrum 48Kb, like this one http://pouet.net/prod.php?which=23903
The problem is the Z80 chip which is main source of sound and CPU of the computer. In this case effects (or scroll) are not working in the same time with music. If you want more demos for Spectrum 48K without AY interfece, please don't hesitate and write to me: johny8(AT)interia.pl but remember that most of them are rather old.

To insectecutor: oh, I hope you will not start to cry and stamp your feet.

I am pretty confident even a 16k Spectrum can do better.

Psonice: they described this scheme as "internal AY interface". Hm.

Simple. Yes, "when the music is playing, scroller must stop", as gasman said. Not in this case, tho :)

so youre pretty wrong, paranoidal atari guy.
there are 2 demos for this machine. at all. the previous one has been made in 1994 and (beeing without any music) looked like this http://www.worldofspectrum.org/showscreen.cgi?screen=screens/in-game/d/DrunkShow .gif
games for this machine look even worse. it's a matter of most stupid addressing on zx spectrum (every) and most ennoying factory mistake in screen's displaying. As for first #real# demo for 16 i give thumb up. good try to make the machine alive. i doubt thought this attempt will succeed. specially with premature opinions like from the atarian (well, i tend to agree with him in case when good coder could do more for the 16 although only with tape, no disks).
let develope scenes like zx16, vic20, c116 or zx81. don't judge them prematurely if you don't know how hard is this coding. specially while being the first demo maker.
