this funny demo told me to read the nfo file included, but in fact there's no nfo file. it plays about a second of music then dumps back to os. I know, g450 sucks, thankyou. 8)

This crap is lasting 108 seconds. And it runs on almost every gfx card (and yes, it was really done using a 2mb ati). And the nfo-file is actually the file_id.diz, originally entitled rtfm.txt. Anyway, I'm going to fix some things.

'-windowed' parameter may work btw. (but switch to 16bit display before trying that)

Dare I say it? "What the cncd manifesto should have been"...

I dig.

It's different, I'll give it that.

Fix the music a bit, and I might even watch it a 2nd time. :)

The download link now refers to the fixed version.

Oh, and thanx for all the comments. I expected mostly flames, but some opinions are really interesting. :)

It gave me a chuckle. "God must be a coder. Or does anything work? I don't think so." An interesting prod.

Looks great (satori stylee) but the music is rather lousy.

it has the merit to try new things.
but, erm, i don't understand the goal to make a demo looks like a big bug. Even if it's original and develop new concepts, a demo should look pleasant to see imho.
As i'm not coder at all, i'm asking if simulating crap, screen corruption or bugs in a demo is...challenging?

karnof: It's not about code at all. It's about making people think 'what the fuck...?'. And it's about exploring new paths of demomaking. :)

Haha.

The truth is, that I had no time (and lacked knowledge) for something cool, so I decided to detroy the material I already had to make it a disturbing piece of bullshit. ;)

A zillion light years later: The soundtrack of doom on soundcloud.

Also, I just found out where the sample is taken from, the one at the end and what it actually says:
Quote:
All I'm saying is that there are some things beyond the ken of mortal man that shouldn't be tampered with. We don't know everything, Andy. There's plenty going on right now in the Twilight Zone that we don't know anything about and I think we ought to stay clear.
