Rather mediocre. Wasn't the tune a cover of something?

The demo is nice, but it's really a shame I can't run it on my Amiga 1200. And the point with the 060-expansion is that you're not running this demo on a "basic" machine, but an expanded one, no matter how many users have that particular expansion (a bit like the 320K expansion on atari8).

I'd be much more impressed by the demo if it actually ran on my machine. Hell, I wouldn't mind if it required an A4000 =)

Well this was ok.

havoc: I agree, I would be more impressed too. But then again, I've never claimed this to be an A1200-demo ;) (it's a shame you can't run this demo on your A500 too, but doesn't really change my opinion on the atari8-expansionmania)

britelite, did taquart ever claim numen would run on unexpanded A800? no... the nfo is damn clear on that issue.

comparing the two expansions, one cannot help but notice that the atari8 320K (actually, 1088K) expansion is dozens of times cheaper and easier to obtain than an amiga 060 card.

i hope you understand why i find your opinion somewhat hypocritical.

havoc: well, you know, I have this obsession about stuff being done on the original hardware when it comes to 8bit-machines. You know, the whole craze with unexpanded-vic20 demos and so on. I don't mind 16bit++ machines using expansions, as those machines were more lame anyway ;)

britelite: talking about minimalist platforms... surely the atari 2600 must appeal to you? :) wamma told me it's lonely at the top of the 2600 scene atm ;)

yeah, the song is a cover of "the things that dreams are made of" by the human league, which is an awesome song. this cover version isn't, mostly because my samples sucked, and while making it i grew more and more tired of the horrible (lack of) usability of milkytracker.

i haven't seen the intro, but i'm guessing it's not that great either. :) ps. 8bit atari sucks!

I think it's good, but needs more design and effects. If it was for a fast compo then is very good
