Really :)

Real democoders do this in their heads, but cool nevertheless :)

Oh btw, dont forget to click 'animate' and twist the variable knobs. Also its got a lot of example files showing what it can do. Documentation is a bit thin :)

I've only seen the screenshots but looks a nice idea.

Wow, rather cool tool and has everything, from RGB functions to even sound output generation. I will play with it when I am not coding and make plasmas, haha!

Seems like this tool also comes with selfvoting thumbs :)

Yeah sorry. I wanted to give some more info but i cant modify anything, and i already lowered the thumbcount once, so i upped it once too. Would be great if you can modify your posts / change info on your prod but i cant find where.

I would like to know what does ":" in function editbox. I.e. cos(sin(x:y-2n))
Thanks ;)
(btw the blue plasma on the screeny deserve to be in the archive ;p)
added on the 2007-04-21 10:44:07 by Buckethead
Hi there. the : does vector distance x:y = sqr(x^2+y^2). (note square-root is sqr in the calc). The equation for the plasma in the screenshot is: cos(sin(x:y-2n)-sin(|x+(8sin(n)+10)|:(y+5sin(2n))+5n))

Thanks Arc^ it's clear to me now.

Ah a new page.. now i have to repeat the extra info :) The article on the calc you can find here: http://www.rikarends.com/riks-calculator/
I'm curious what people create with it so feel free to mail new equations.
  added on the 2007-04-21 19:56:54 by Arc99
I updated the calc to support RGB plasma output. Its a bit slower because of the 3 channels and thus the 3 equations per pixel to process, but it should be fun to play with.

Really cool tool (and as a toy too), top work!

really cool, but no hidden surface removal for plots? and no fill mode? tut, tut. really needs some anti-aliased line too.
