This is only one effect. Not used in any demo, and maybe won't ever be, so I thought I should publish it.

Just to show what oldschool effects works on newschool computers.

Nice effect, but I would've rather seen it in a demo :)

great. lots of detail and good looking. but why didn't you clear the background? I'm a bit puzzled.. I've never quite reached the level where I'm no longer concerned with clearing the screen before drawing the effect. I'm puzzled.

Amazing voxel as a single effect. Well, yes, I got puzzled but maybe the coder was too lazy to clean up the screen and that was a beta test effect where this was not necessary back then and released as it is ;)

Where did you got the voxel data? Is that the 3d scan of some dead egyptian mummy or something else?

It is from a Mitshubishi (or how it is written) public domain dataset of a TAC scanner, medical data. It was a 256x256x256, but I extrapolated it to 512x512x512, I added some radiosity some years ago, and in the last try to do some prod with it I added the texture. The texture is a shot taken in the entrance of La Alhambra monument.
The image is from a live male human, about the weird things in the mounth is due reflections of the laser (or X ray, or whatever the scanner uses) in the teeth. These things are very common in this kind of scanner data.
I have also the skull of this guy rendered with radiosity also, and it looks really good also, but I've not extrapolated it.

Not a demo. Would be a good base for one using more data, though.

Cool.
For me it run fine one time, and then seems to crash every time I try to run it. Weird.
And apart from that, you might want to fix the mime type your server, jsyk.

This is rendering really fast, source code maybe? How did you do that, seriously?
