Should now run on all (?) machines. ;-) For those who're interested: The issue was twofold, firstly I needed to add the Microsoft.VC80.CRT-assembly (bah, and this isn't even managed) somewhere the binary could find it (using a proper manifest), and secondly I needed to compile SDL_image in non-debug mode *rolls eyes*.
