another kewl demo-shock to japanese brain! :) ... too bad the lame slow+lores filled vector drags down the overall impression a bit

all those awesome gfx are converted _RIGHT_?

didnt like the covers in the song, the demo could have had more fitting music imho.

but still, pretty darn good!

@ps: no they are not. call dane-800 for more informations ;)

and now one word to this demo: great! thank dane and hcl for thei effort to give us still c64 demos with style. it is unbelievable what you still can do with a c64 in 2005.

oh man, i would LOVE it to have a Booze Design entry at tUM or Breakpoint. any chance for it?

Nice pics.. but succession of high res gfx, even on C64, doesn't mean a good prod.
Let's start with the begining : a well good 1st part, but then slow 2d transitions, poor3d effects and especially these anoying repeating chineese ideograms.
I think the main problem is the inadequation between the music and the main theme. Just piggie.

smooth and subtle design, a great soundtrack (one of the best set of drumsounds i ever heard on c64). lovely release! even the disk-directory design rocks!

I love everything about this demo, except the plotter (who said "Oxyron '93"? :) and the loader, which seems to be deteriorating.

I especially like the SID model menu, of course, much more stylish than the music menu from last year.

Kind slowly progressing, big duration, but great artwork and music plus few nice effects. I'll watch it once again now..

great graphics. I love the look of this one. Some nice effects too even if I don't know which ones are any good. I liked the transparent waves and scrolling japanese writing.. Sineplots were a bit cool too. Great use of c64 colours all the way

An amazing demo. Nice to see real innovation on the C64
rulez added on the 2005-04-28 01:13:10 by Preacher Preacher
Yeah, a red(/white) line through the whole demo and some good Ideas (shaded rasters) packed together with clean code... the wellknown boozestyle. Some graphics looked scanned or at least not drawn precisely but the overall demo is a killer and a good example how to keep the audience watching... the music is good synced but seemed to go 2 Seconds to fast on my real C64, hmm, have to check this out again later... great work!

Awesome code, gfx, music. I'm really impressed by the way HCL nonchalantely pulls off quite hard feats without making a point of hammering it in; rather just assuming that the viewer knows when something "impossible" is happening and doesn't need to be told. :-)

Just heard this melody in [this track](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXHyrINJBwU) - was there an earlier version of this track that Dane got the melody from? :)

Doesn't take away anything for me; I love it the same, but I'm always curious when these things come up!
