Main menu was a kind of dungeon master. Not very easy to get to a given screen/demo.
Screens from german crews BMT, ACF, etc...

I see a whole old intro ripped, effect and & fonts and yet you find that marvellous.

if you have the ST Magazine nº47 Dec/Jan 1990/1991 you can read:
"...le logo Alliance est en fait basé sur un logo Fairlight sur Amiga (The "Orange Hole" Demo). Ils n'ont eu qu'à modifier les lettres..."
"...vous avez reconnu l'ecran de fin de la "Metal Hangover" de Scoopex"

translation:
"the Alliance logo is based on Fairlight's Orange Hole demo. They just had to change the letters."
"you can recognize Mental Hangover from Scoopex at the end screen"

I don't care what ST mag reads.
All I see is that when Hoodlum rips an old Skidrow/Anarchy intro, it's "wonderful", but when the Alliance rips (even if redrawn) an old Failight logo, it suddenly sucks.

What different does it make?

you want to compare a 1 color font used 1000 times on cracktros to a logo ?
for the rest: a sinus is a sinus, there are no stars and the 8x8 font is not the same
we are talking demo here

Ok, I won't try to argue with yet another amiga zealot who keeps arguing with patent insincerity and recognizes rip only when he wants to (and certainly not when his friends are involved).
And yes, even if it's the 3rd time in a row that a hoodlum cracktro uses ripped material:

http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=14933

But you are totally right. To rip ONE bitplane at a time (with layout and effects) is ok but THREE bitplanes is not ok anymore.

Yes, it all makes sense to me now, I'll go and visit Okkie's shop to get more clues. Thanks for enlightening me.

friends involved ?
I never met the FLT guys who made the demo.
As I told you I've just read the magazine and compared the 2 prods they told here on pouet (and btw they expose lots more stuff taken from amiga on atari demos).
Now for the other hoodlum prods (you still mixing up things, you dont like him it is your problem I've nothing to deal with so please stop) are cracktros (from 2004/2005 go figure) not demos and if we start comparing cracktros now there will be dozens with: same tunes and same fonts.

I was talking about hoodlum redundant rips, not flt, that you qualify as "marvellous". Anyway I won't argue any further, you recognize rip only when you want to.
Thus
Ripped material in demos is *bad* BUT it's totally *ok* ("wonderful" even) in cracktros
To rip *1* bitplane + effects is ok BUT *3* bitplanes is not ok anymore.
You're right and I'm wrong. I'll go and fish some clues. Period.

I found it hard to get all screens. There was an Anti Amiga screen though, good for a laugh. Btw: Ripping itself is not that bad, if the rest is ok. I do not think e.g. Mad Max had allowed all people to use his music. Anyway everybody did. The Alliance even had the work to change some parts...:-)

Zweckform: I'm not sure I managed to get all screens, the main menu was a real pain to use :)

One of my favorite ATARI ST demos. Think about the relase date.

The demon that put too much feature-bloat into the walk-around main menu concept.
