I am not sure which demotool I would prefer. Werkkzeug or Addict both have their advantages and disadvantages. An annoying think is, that Addict does not work in fullscreen mode at 1400x1050, the buttons are too small, well the whole interface is too small. Werkkzeug has a nice GUI that fit to the most screensizes but the idea of the operator-buttons can get very annoying with big scenes. Addict is more compact and better to control. I would suggest you a SDI design. The VMC model makes things much easier to design an extendible application.
