I remember enjoying this years ago, but rewatching it now time has not been kind to it. It relies very heavily on selling a novelty rendering style, and has very little to offer beyond that. That's OK, lots of demos are like this and I agree the sprite effect still looks pretty cool.

The things that ruin it for me are small, like the childish text about shit and sperm and the tacky portamento "bowee boweeeeep, bowee boweewoo" synth in the music that ruins an otherwise great track. I think nobody paid much attention to this stuff when the demo was new just because the rendering style was so eye catching, but I can't help noticing it now.

Seems like the voters at ASM2004 agreed.

This has quite a lot of memories bound to it,- testing my amp back at the dorm - highly drunk getting to the loo (keeping the volume on loud) having this playing at demoscene.tv - coming back from the loo, yelling "THIS IS FUCKING KEWLERS!" at 2 am, friend in the room just nods. That fucking bass, gets me all the time :)

somehow the two tunnels ("take a ride in my alimentary canal" and "urho kaleva kakkonnen") are not displayed on modern hardware (win7 x64, i2500, amd hd6850), rest of the effects work fine. oh, and it doesn't exit at the end, had to kill the process
