Voted the most ugly main menu ever. But who cares, this is top class!

I remember that Ziggy 3D part, how cute :)
A lot of bigscrolls ("we are first" Alcatraz intro style ;)
Impressive megademo!

Ziggy Stardust 3D in overscan. Lot's of screens. A real good Megademo. Did Ziggy really manage the timer based overscan? rulez!

The 3d screen featured in this demo is easily one of the most impressive screen ever done on ST. The rest of the demo is more common though one or two screens feature awesome fullscren effects (Dim's demo for instance).

sepp: IIRC ziggy waits until he can safely execute a div (between timing critical parts on the scanline). since a div is "only" 100 cycles or so this fall well within the #cycles required between left and right border. sounds logical, but also like a bitch to code! :))

great B&W screen, too

Earx: And hows that Big Screen by Dim is coded?

earx : correct me if i'm wrong but isn't the whole overscan routine timer based? how else can you interleave a tri-filler with the frequency switches?

actually, are we even talking about the right demo? isn't that screen in froggies over the fence? argh! it's late

some screens are awesome!

Too bad 80% of OVR screens were reused code from Ziggy (boring fullscreen-bigscroller-soundtrack).

Messy and annoying main menu.

Very few good screens in the end.

The 3D from Ziggy and M-Coder (and Algernon if my memory doesn't fail me) kicked ass though, that screen alone was 10 times worth the rest of the demo :)

At the time, I was so amazed by Ziggy Stardust's 3D screen... The feeling was incredible. It is one of the screens that pushed me into learning assembly language...

When seeing the 3d i thought: "damn, it's slow"... Then i had a shock when i understood it was OVeRscan! Respect!

Ooops, wrong demo... The fullscreen 3d by ziggy is somewhere else (Froggies over the Fence?). I saw back the european 3d screen and it's nonetheless excellent!
