We will soon try to fix a final version with a better recording (SCART RGB -> composite video -> PC, instead of SCART RGB -> TV -> camcorder -> PC).

The experts of obscure wild demos are back. :)

tentacular demo!

Awesome.

Psykotron: You have to put up some info site for all your weird platforms with descriptions on how you did it, exactly what kind of hardware it is and all that, would be really interesting to read.

The sound is _very_ good, I'm quite impressed :)
Looks like animating the liberty statue hurts the frame rate a lot !

NICE! :-)

A_Lee_N & morbuz: Like Gargaj said, there's at least some stuff up (a circuit schematic and now also the XM soundtrack). If there is enough interest and I find some time, perhaps I will put up some more info and facts. I'm also thinking about releasing full source code to this and previous platforms.

Dbug: The graphics chip spends half of the time just outputting the image to the TV, so it hasn't got much time left for drawing. It barely manages to clear one of the two pages during one frame. You can also see the lower part of the space monkey flicker because the page is output before redrawing has finished. In the liberty case, one of the pages has to be completely redrawn, so there you go. :)

awesome.

I'd like to know more about the hardware, the instruction set, graphic and audio capabilities ... how much it costed you ... and ultimatelly an ( mini ) SDK would rocks.

hehe, kewl :)
but i can't really understand why do you call it QCD?
added on the 2004-10-14 02:00:37 by blala
Unfortunately, I haven't had time to fix the better recording (can't find an RGB to composite converter) and extended info, but eventually I will...
blala: The name stems from the fact that it features colors moving around in a dynamic fashion :) But the resolution and 3-bit colors make the dynamics rather quantized. The basic constituents red, green and blue also match the color charges of the quarks of QCD (in physics).
