Really slow, and ugly..

ugly, boring and buggy

i wonder where are YOUR first demos... i have a feeling they don't have much more than this either.

this is a great first demo, a lot of effort, a lot of work, and a nice soundtrack as well.

i'd say this is a promising start

Gargaj: I still don't think you should release things this slow, and the textures were quite horrible. I prefer to be honest in front of lying and saying that it is good when it isn't, and thus encourage them to release more prods like this when in fact i would love to see them try harder. But that's just my opinion.

There's this thing called constructive criticism... tho it seems absent from pouet since a while.

I'm not here to thumb the effort but rather the production itself, and I am sure that they put some work into this but surely they must have noticed that it is freakishly slow? And if they did, there's alot of people to ask how to improve it. And if they didn't? Well, it's good that I told them then so they can ask people how to improve it, right?

"Really slow, and ugly" and "Make it smoother and better looking and i'll give it a thumb" differs in levels of constructivism as you may have noticed.
Indeed the demo is slow (I saw a preview of it before Breakpoint and it was a bit faster, tho it wasn't the same scene I think), and it needs more quality graphics, still it's a very respectable first try.

Just don't hate me because i'm honest. If i were to thumb up every release at pouet just because they were respectable tries, then what good is a thumb when i really like a production? And why would we need the other two ratings?

Hm.. It has a 1997ish look to it.

Not _that_ bad, really. Lots of nice demos in 1997. What I really dislike is:
1) Use of what appears to be Arial (or some other system font) throughout the demo.
2) The music.
3) The "use 5 filters and call it a logo" logo.
4) The lighting.
5) The 3D models, especially the 1st one.
6) The "text writer".

i liked the particle scene, and the music was ok

quite dull stuff. nice work for a first-prod, but as a demo by itself its quite bad. uninspiring static 3dscenes with shitloads of z-fighting and some particles. wellwell. nest time, put in some energy and some feeling.

slow and feels quite unpersonal. it`s ok for a first release though.

the music is pretty good but slightly to repeatitive.

part 1 : not ok, ugly, slow, boring
part 2 : ok, nice too see, many colors
part 3 : ok, but very slow
the music is cool

do NOT release your first demo.
do NOT release your last demo.

hoi hoi, damn its slow, but i cant give it a tumb down since its your first prod, damn its slow!!!! how did you manage to make it this slow? Im the master of slow code, but damn this is some slow shit =) optimize !

quite ok, the last scene was quite ok, and why are everybody saying it's slow, it isn't.. atleast not here.

1. It was really slow on my AMD XP 1900+
with 768 MB DDR Ram and GeForce3...
especially the last scene =|

2. The particle scene was to long for such a
simple particle effect but the last scene was
ok :)

3. Music was ok

4. For a first-prod not bad :)

quite nice for beginning

Quite good for a first prod. Seems to be a lot to do with it, but i liked it. Music rulz.

First attempt or not, this was unimpressive and unattractive. The only part that I didn't mind was when the first scene briefly turned to some sort of neon Tron-esque mesh colouring thingy stuff whatever.
