The code is there excluding some scoreboard hashing stuff. There is somewhat working mouse control that is commented out because it doesn't work with replays reliably. (different graphics hardware maps stuff a bit differently) Hopefully there will be time to develop it a bit further. Everything including the graphics is freely distributable under corresponding license. |

| I can second that. The sample playback was never the main point but just a funny addition, harder stuff is somewhere else. However, the lousy screen pretty much eliminates nice raster effects that would work in Spectrum and the low-res effects in Spectrum that only edit colour memory area give it a certain advantage over TI-8x as a platform. I would almost dare to say they are quite even, but of course it would be preferred for the audience to recognize the interesting parts. |

| I just can't belive the size of this demo, maybe there should be some limit to how much bitmaps and precalc is allowed in oldschool? |

| gasman: You're just wrong in one thing, it's TI-89 that can emulate spectrum, not TI-86. TI-89 has a 10 MHz 68k processor and comparing it to TI-86 is just like comparing Amiga to Spectrum. TI-86 is using the same z80 processor than Spectrum for gods sake, what do you need emulation for? |

| I was a bit disappointed of the filesize too, the processor should be fast enought to use less precalc... This was great demo though and we were really afraid of noice. (especially because someone overslept and it was recorded separately) Maybe next time something more different from monochromatic 1? |

special thanks to dEpressio for submitting and commenting
the VTI emulator runs this demo but I suggest to turn the sound emulation off while there is no sound, otherwise it may not run smoothly. and if you exit the demo with the exit-button it may not work right on the next run (small bugs). I'll try to get that video file too if possible
also if you don't have the TI link cable (but still own the calculator) you can google for ti86.rom and should find it easily. I'll stop spamming here since it's plain stupid, thanks everyone and see you next year |
