How did this not win? Totally awesome visuals how cheesy and not my favourite the music might ever be :)

A very bold idea executed well - I could easily have lived without the spaceships though :)

pictures and sound did not match at all, when the dubstep part kicked in - it works better in the Excess demo ;)

Glow tunnel and bouncing donut with sync!

It's missing a few effects to fill out the time fully - still a really nice looking demo!

This looks really great!

I deliberately didn't watch Blueberry's screen, when he was working on this one at the Revision pre-hype miniparty a few weeks ago.

Highlights:
- those swinging lightbulbs - timed with the 2d. One of the things I will never forget from Revision 2013
- The lightball towards the end of the demo
- Nice 2d graphics
- soothing soundtrack

Some scenes/graphics might have been reused a bit much, and the scroller was hard to read, but damn everything looks coherent.
You yeah, and the filesize and requirements are uhm.. maxed out :)

Holy fuck those 3d scenes look polished!

- them dusty overlays. I've commented on them before, and I still totally dig them!
- nice music (yeah, I'm a sucker for such kind of music)
- Generally good looking scenes and "engine-effects"
- A few good actual effects

I had a bit of a hard time reading the greetings i car-parking celler scene, and even though this demo is really good, it would be even better with a few more effects (yeah, I know you've heard that before, but it is what I feel)

Argh... I really want to dig this demo more...

- Exploding stuff looks really really nice
- Fluids look really nice
- "Snaps of doom" skull ;)
- Music is not my taste, but that's probably more a specific taste thing, however the sound didn't seem to play well in the E-Werk
- Somewhat weird/boring geometry (I guess this is due to reduce the polygon count for the RTRT)
- Edges flipping over on camera pans as well as faces being clipped/too close to the camera - that really annoyed me, when watching it the first time

Don't get me wrong. it's a really great demo, however I'm missing the more "artistic" feel that you guys have had in many of the recent years demos.

Worthy winner? Hmm... difficult, those explosions look good and was the best effect in the compo - even with a wall of midrange guitars, which I don't really appreciate (yes, exactly the same way that some people do not like drum'n'bass or other specific sounds and genres :) )

This might be one of your best PC demos - really digged a lot in this one, except maybe the amount of time that the scrolling geometry stayed on the screen.
Totally great effect with the projected particle ball thing :)
Really well crafted music that fits really good for a typical demo (don't get me wrong, it's meant as a good thing)

what disturbs me about this mostly is all those polygons etc clipping in and out of the picture, which is in a huge contrast to the otherwise soothing atmosphere.
Also I find the demo too slow to "kick in" - especially, when seen on the big screen.
Soundtrack is nice, however I'm not really on par with the crickets.
I was more into metamorf ii, because it has more uhm.. "order" of the polygons that drive the visuals :)

  Machinist by Elude
this:
Quote:
seriously? you have a high resolution model and you show the BACK OF HER NECK? that's the big sell?

And the color choice in a few scenes, renders them way less enjoyable than they could be: "Elude Presents - it's very close to unreadable, and the "cheesehole in cube scene", which I think is a very cool effect, but it just get to look like some random polygons on the screen, because of the missing background/foreground color contrast.

Also it seemed to run very slow on the compo machine, but as my Amiga HW is currently packed away I cannot check that myself.

I understand the setting of the music, which I find correct, however too many "spooky sounds" was too prominent, when the beat/music was actually playing ("spooky sounds" are fine, especially in breaks). That made me feel that the track was almost one long "spooky sound"

Still a really really great Amiga demo, and part of yet a memorable Amiga demo compo during Easter.

Internet memes destroys a bit of the charm in my opinion, still I like the overall idea, and the execution is pretty good. Of course I would also like to see more "real" effects in upcoming demos.
