I'm still having a hard time figuring out whether this is serious or is meant ironically.

Wasn't that because we were converting the wrong file though?
Anyway, I actually had an idea on how to make the edges less angular about a day before the party but by that time I essentially decided to feature-freeze.

very professionally done but i have a problem with the narrative: i don't feel there's enough context to it so it feels very anticlimatic.

it's your first demo and that's great, but that's kindof where it ends really; i'm having a hard time finding redeeming values in this. :o

the thumb goes for the synth quality; the music itself sounded a bit too familiar and the visuals have a serious problem of not knowing what to show for how long.

Alex Lehmann visualised Noisia's music in a great way, and so he did with Wright & Bastard's massive remix of Sumo Lounge's "The Week". Awesome visual style and concept.

wait wait wait wait.
are you telling me that the guy who did the Exodus / Could This Be videos for Noisia is a _scener_?! :O

My problem with this is that it puts the bar way too high: ambient minimal is a strictly hit-and-miss. (Especially at a large party, but that's not really the point.)

Some of the stuff in there is great, but it falls a bit flat on its face because the text is disconnected from the effect and they're happening at the same time so you have to split your attention and on the first viewing, you're gonna miss out on one either way.

I've been playing Antichamber recently, and it has a very similar aesthetic to this, but it's different in that there was great care ensured by the creators to keep the player focusing on the "right" things even though the game is meant to be confusing and paradoxical. I feel the same approach would've helped here, perhaps alternating the text and the effects so that they feel like a logical sequence to each other.

The platform itself is weird but in this case it actually takes away from the enjoyment of the demo.

I liked the music for what it was (pop/rock) and the visual was massive - but then, it was a really good compo this year.
